Iver Swenson Farm-Sundahl begins

The Iver Swenson Farm much improved from the one room sod house of 1885.

"The history of Sundahl Lutheran Congregation dates from July 26th, 1885, when a group of the early settlers, feeling the need for establishing a home of worship in which to rear their families and to bring their children up in the "Faith of their Fathers", met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Iver Swenson, located about six miles northeast from the present site of Aneta, to organize a congregation. The following individuals and families were in attendance at this meeting:  Mr and Mrs. Iver Swenson and four children, Mr, and Mrs. Ole Olson and five children, Mr. and Mrs. Ingebrigt Locken and two children, Mr John Mehle, Mr. S. S. Aas, and Miss Maren Aas. These people then are considered as the Charter Members of Sundahl Evangelical Lutheran Congregation."
(quoted from "A Brief History 1885-1954" entry in the booklet "Dedication Services and Sixty-Ninth Anniversary of Sundahl Evangelical Lutheran Church" dated June 20, 1954)
Iver Swenson
Lola Sandbeck, a member of Sundahl, is a great grand daughter of the Swensons.
